Dreaming of a white Christmas this year? Aspen has plenty to offer this holiday season even during these uncertain times, including a 27″ snow base. This snow base, along with the most recent snow storms, allowed Aspen Skiing Co. to announce over the weekend that no reservation system is needed for season pass holders over the holidays – at least for now!
If you’re not a skier, there is still plenty to do! The Aspen Chamber Resort Association has put together The 12 Days of Aspen, a holiday celebration full of fun activates for you and your family! It all kicks off Sunday, December 20th at 9:30am MST with a livestream of readings and carols from the Aspen Chapel!
During the 12 Days of Aspen, you can also celebrate the change in seasons around a solstice fire with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies on Monday, December 21st from 4-7pm at ACES at Hallam Lake. Visitors can tour the preserve for interactive winter activities or stay cozy by the fire with hot cocoa (bring your own mug!). Reservation are required.
If you are wanting to get to know Aspen better and discover more about its rich history, take advantage of one of the guided walking tour hosted by the Aspen Historical Society. After, settle in with Theatre Aspen as you virtually stream its second annual Holiday Cabaret Series. Recorded from New York City, the cabaret will stream for two performances only, Wednesday, December 23rd and Sunday, December 27th at 6pm. Tickets are complimentary, but reservations are required.
Aspen has so much to offer during this Holiday celebration! You might even see Santa around town or riding a fire truck so make sure to greet him with the most holiday cheer! You can find a full schedule of events HERE.
