Since 1949, the Aspen Music Festival and School has been one of the top classical music festivals in the United States. The eight-week summer season features over 400 classical music events. In the winter the AMFS presents a series of recitals and music education programs.

FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen
FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen is a gathering of accomplished culinary experts and legendary winemakers. Rub shoulders with celebrity folk of industry and foodies alike at the nation’s premier culinary event of the summer.
For one gloriously gluttonous weekend a year, it’s expected that you pamper yourself in full. One of the most acclaimed annual Aspen events, this is not one to overlook. Slated for June 16th-18th in 2023, tickets for the highly anticipated event go on sale on January 18th at Noon time (EST).
Aspen Ideas Festival
The Aspen Ideas Festival is a gathering of future-focused minds, artists, and philanthropists to openly and creatively discuss current economic and global challenges. Guests are inspired to share in dialogue that is uplifting and motivational while respecting differences of opinion.
Broken into two sections, spread out over the week of June 24-30th (with Health opening on June 21st), the event in 2023 is scheduled for the Summer. Sign up for the newsletter to find out when you can register yourself and any guests.
July 4th in Aspen
Celebrating the 4th of July isn’t quite the same as when you celebrate it in Aspen. Traditional celebrations commemorating the nation’s independence play out against the backdrop of the majestic Aspen mountains. With parades, fireworks, classic cookouts, and plenty of shopping, these family-friendly Aspen events are suitable for all ages.

Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience
Welcoming the Fall is the annual JAS Labor Day Experience. Likely to sell out, next year’s event is happening on September 1-3rd. This year the event saw headliners such as Stevie Nicks, Leon Bridges, and Chris Stapleton. Who will be performing next year?

Thanksgiving in Aspen
Though the season technically changes into fall come September, it’s not until Thanksgiving that the season formally changes in Aspen. The ski slopes begin to open while families and friends gather to celebrate in this snow-covered winter wonderland.

Wintersköl
First up and happening just after the New Year is Wintersköl — a four-day salute to winter and the Aspen way of life. This festival is a true highlight of the area and one the locals look forward to. This celebration starts off the year right with fireworks, snow sculptures, and a lamp-lit trek down the mountainside.

Aspen Gay Ski Week
Get ready for their biggest party yet! 2023 marks the celebration of 46 years of progress and from January 15-22nd the AGSW is going to honor that tenfold. Part party, part fundraiser, and all parts adventure, Aspen Gay Ski Week is considers itself the best LGBTQ+ ski week in the world.
Sponsored by some heavy-hitting brand names, this event is the event of all annual Aspen events in the LGBTQ+ party season! Follow the organization’s Instagram for more details and insight into the gathering.
X Games Aspen
Another annual Aspen event not to be missed is the legendary X Games. Close to 100 professional winter athletes descend on Buttermilk for this three-day event full of exhilarating snow sports. Scheduled for the last weekend in January (27-29) of 2023, there’s no better time to plan your adventure to Aspen.
